Nursing Program Overview
The conceptual framework is the organization of major concepts and principles which stem from the philosophy and objectives to provide direction to the teaching-learning process.
The foundation of our framework focuses on the basic needs of individuals as they interact with their environment.
The practical nurse plays a role with providing direct nursing care toward meeting the needs of the individual.
The conceptual framework is used to develop and design the curriculum. Components which show integration or relationships between courses in each trimester are: the health-illness continuum, communication skills and principles from the arts and sciences. These components are represented as horizontal threads on the diagram of the conceptual framework.
